PAPAZ Bistro is open again. Under COVID-19 regulations you will be required to fill out a short form upon entry, and we’ll take your temperature. After that, it is business as usual. We serve our full menu. We look forward to seeing you again and serving our delicious meals to you!

Seeking an affordable function and party venue in the Northern Suburbs? Then PAPAZ is the ideal venue. We offer affordable options and go the extra mile to make sure your special occasion is filled with unforgettable memories.

We do not charge a venue fee within our standard trading hours. Should you want to make use of our services after hours there will be an hourly rate – please enquire about this, as it will depend on the day and time.

We have two function rooms available. Our sunroom can accommodate up to 40 guests and is situated downstairs in our Bistro. Our upper room is a private room that can accommodate up to 52 people  and is situated upstairs.

We have different meal options to choose from, but you are also welcome to request a quotation if you have something else in mind. All our prices are per person and include the following for our silver package:

  • Meal option
  • Bottomless coffee & tea
  • Water jugs for the table
  • Table cloths
  • Table runners
  • Cloth napkins
  • Underplates
  • Colour champagne, wine & drinking glasses
  • Flowers for the table (selected flowers in store)
  • Décor for napkins
  • Cake table with stand, cake knife, lifter & name board
  • Gift table with name board & envelope holder
  • Service charge
  • Setup, breakdown & cleaning

Should you wish to add a flower wall, wreath or specific theme décor an additional charge of R30 per person will apply.

Technicalities – when making a booking, we require a R500 non-refundable deposit to secure your date. The final payment for your function is due the Wednesday before your function date. This amount will be deducted off your final amount.

The story behind PAPAZ

Our flagship company, Bunches for Africa, was founded by Jaco and Cindy Fischer in September 2002. Bunches for Africa specialises in the wholesale supply of fresh flowers to various retailers in the Western Cape and also sells flowers, gifts and decorative items directly to the public sector. In the early years, the owners of Bunches for Africa started a small coffee shop as part of the flower warehouse. Coffee@Bunches has been your friendly coffee shop since 2006 and is managed by Manie Wright, who has a love for people and a passion to cook. Due to public demand, our management boldly decided in 2018 to upgrade Coffee@Bunches to a thoroughbred bistro called PAPAZ Bistro.

At PAPAZ Bistro you’ll experience the most eclectic mixture of decor – a touch of antique & vintage, classically combined with a modern taste. Here our dream is to create a unique experience for all our valued customers to enjoy our Bistro as a friendly sanctuary.

We cater for breakfast, lunch and coffee daily, and for dinner/platters on request. For functions you can book one of our 3 dedicated areas. Our sun room is ideal for parties of up to 35 people, the front room for up to 20 people and our upper room can take up to 50 people. Our unique in-house decor at very reasonable prices is extremely popular and takes the effort out of your special function – be it high teas, kitchen teas, baby showers, birthday parties or family reunions!
